Death Is Not Justification
Yes, I agree…with Christ, all died. But death, in-and-of-itself, has nothing to do with being objectively justified. It does nothing to support UOJ.
Instead, there is a distinction being made between those who died with Christ and those who live in Christ (2Co 5:15). With Christ, all have died, yes. But only those who have life in Christ receive the forgiveness, justification and righteousness which is hidden in Christ.
Everyone else, still needs to be reconciled through the message of reconciliation for the whole world (which we’ll look at next).
And, since so many need to hear this message of reconciliation, we should probably get busy helping others to be justified, instead of spending all of our time and effort debating, this all important topic. Though, on the other hand, we should get this topic (justification) right as we go out to reconcile the world.
Well, that’s my conclusion, anyway. What do you think?
