Scripture Interprets Scripture
One thing I have gratefully learned from my Lutheran heritage is that we must always allow Scripture to interpret Scripture.
In other words, as it applies to UOJ, we cannot forsake one portion of Scripture for the sake of upholding a flawed belief loosely based upon (or read into) other portions of Scripture.
Is the biblical evidence overwhelmingly against the validity of UOJ?
Well, you will have to decide for yourself, hopefully you’ll do so by being honest with all of the text of Scripture, in its proper context. Personally, I would suggest that individually, each of the previous five arguments, 1) the unforgivable sin, 2) universal condemnation, 3) the gospel withheld, 4) the keys, and 5) spiritual identity, each by itself, disproves UOJ. But when combined together, the biblical witness is overwhelmingly against the validity of UOJ, in my view.
Again, you will have to decide for yourself with or without the help of the Holy Spirit as your guide. The choice is yours.
